## About

The First Sector is an independent fan project — not affiliated with Formula 1 or the FIA. Players pick the top 10 finishers before qualifying each race. Points are awarded for exact positions (+3), correct drivers in wrong positions (+1), fastest lap predictions, and season-long championship picks. Maximum score per race is 33 points. Every league's first 3 race weekends are completely free with the full app; after that the league's commissioner pays once ($39 founding price) to unlock the rest of 2026 and the entire 2027 season; from 2027 new leagues pay $59 per season — players never pay. Prize pots are managed informally between league members; no money passes through the platform.
